50 Cent Cleans Up Well In The MTV New Show “Power & Money”
I am not a big rap fan nor do I consider myself a true 50cent fan, especially since he has a history of ghetto pranks, fights and buffoonery; HOWEVER, I was QUITE surprised when I caught the episode of his “Donald Trumpish ala The Apprentice” MONEY & POWER apprentice type game show on MTV. Man does he dress up well and he speaks intelligently.
Now, if I weren’t an African American woman, you’d probably attack me, but if you compare his public and online persona to what you see on this show, you’d be shocked yourself! I mean, I am PLEASANTLY surprised and now see why my “man:-)” is the multi-million dollar powerhouse. I used to credit his semi-intelligence to having a great business manager and management, but could I be wrong? Could it be that we have a hip hop thug that is also savvy in corporate America?? Geez, what an African American President (smile) can do to your perspective.
I am happy for Mr. Half Dollar but like we said before, with all that money, can you change your name to Mr. Dollar, Hundred Dollar Bill, or something a bit more substantial than 50 cents??? What does that get you in this economy? Absolutely nothing… but his new show is definitely worth a look!

50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) was the top earning rapper in 2007, earning an astonishing $150 million, according to Forbes magazine. He parlayed a stake in Vitamin Water to a 9-figure payout and he continues to be the single savviest businessman in the music game. As he puts it, “If I was just my image, I wouldn’t have made this much money.” 50 Cent’s success is nothing less than the American dream and this show is his coming out party as an inspiration to a new generation of street-savvy entrepreneurs. His forthcoming book, “The 50th Law,” co-authored with Robert Greene (”The 48 Laws of Power”), will share the lessons he learned as a street hustler and how those lessons allowed him to become the massive success he is today. In “50 Cent: The Money and the Power,” hosted by and starring 50 Cent, he will share these lessons with a lucky few. The winner, the young man or woman whose ideas and drive make them worthy of 50’s support, receives a $100,000 investment from 50 Cent himself. “50 Cent: “The Money and the Power” will premiere on MTV on Thursday, November 6th at 10pm ET/PT.
