MSN is reporting that a 70-year old Indian woman recently gave birth to a baby girl after years of unsuccessful attempts to become pregnant with her husband, 72.  After determining she was healthy enough to undergo the high-risk pregnancy, Indian doctors used in vitro fertilization procedures to impregnate the woman.  The woman, Rajo Devi, is the second 70-year old in India to give birth this year.  Davi and the baby, a healthy baby girl, are reported to be doing well. 

Critics have charged that the use of IVF in women of this age is unethical, due to the possibility that children of the elderly mothers could be at risk of becoming orphans if the mothers should pass away.
