Accused ‘Nanny’ In Caylee Anthony Case Files Defamation Suit
The woman accused of being missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony’s “nanny,” Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, has filed a defamation suit against the toddler’s mother, Casey Anthony. In a clear attempt to cover up whatever really happened to little Caylee, her mom Casey gave detectives Zenaida’s name, alleging that she was the toddler’s nanny, and stating that she’d left Caylee in Zenaida’s care. She also told investigators that Zenaida had been Caylee’s nanny for two and half years. But there’s one small problem with the story– Casey Anthony doesn’t even know Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, and according to Zenaida, the two have never even met.
But since Casey gave Zenaida’s name to the police and dragged her good name through the media mud, Zenaida, a mother of six, has lost her job, can’t find a place to live, and has even received serious threats from Casey Anthony supporters. And all of this has happened despite the fact that the police long ago cleared Zenaida of any wrongdoing. In fact, police documents released last week reveal that police searched Casey’s computer for links between her and Zenaida, and only came up with evidence that Casey conducted several searches for Zenaida’s name, though no communication between the two was found.
So how did Casey even come up with Zenaida’s name in the first place? Zenaida believes that her information was either stolen by or provided to Casey using an information card she filled out while looking at a new apartment. She told Good Morning America, “I just went to look at an apartment and filled out an information card… My suspicion is they probably gave her the information from the card.” TALK ABOUT SERIOUS IDENTITY THEFT!
It’s pretty clear by now that Casey Anthony is guilty of her daughter’s tragic death, whether she murdered the toddler herself or knows who did and is refusing to say. By searching Casey’s computer, investigators have determined that Casey visited missing children’s websites MONTHS before her own daughter went missing. How sick is that? Several people, including Casey’s own parents and brother, also reported smelling the stench of a decomposing body in Casey’s car. Air sample tests conducted by police confirmed evidence of human decomposition in the car’s trunk. Further, pictures on her computer, including one of a “drawing of a child looking at a teddy bear in a noose” (!) have been found.
While we may never be sure of exactly what happened to little Caylee, we hope investigators will be able to uncover enough details to solve the case of this poor little missing girl soon.

While it sucks that this random woman’s life has been unfairly impacted by all of this, I really doubt there is much purpose to a lawsuit. She’s filing a claim against a woman who doesn’t have a job, whose entire resources are already devoted to litigation and it seems rather likely that the potential defendant is going to prison for a long time. I just really don’t see anything there to collect, she’s about as judgment proof as it gets. What are you going to do, garnish Casey’s future wages of $.20 an hour that she’ll earn from mopping up a prison floor? I suppose they could sell the car which held the decomposing corpse of a toddler (not only creepy but there would never be a way of covering that awful smell), but somehow I doubt anyone buying that car.
She may have some type of insurance that can be filed upon. Either way, a judgment is good ten years and for as long thereafter as you can remember to renew it. Should she ever write a tell-all book, maybe Zeneida can get some money from that.
First of all, I would like to know how this woman is or was cleared of haveing any involvement,in Caylee’s disappearance! Obviously her name is real. How did Casey know her name,if she didn’t know her? I believe Casey is totally responsible for her daughter’s disappearance, but where does this Zenaida fit into the story??
Well, ChellAynn, the first time Casey spoke with police she told them where Zenaida “lived.” When police checked with management at the complex, they found out that she did not, nor had she ever, lived there. A search of their database, however, showed that Zenaida had LOOKED at an apartment in April, and had filled out a “guest visit” card. (You can find this information in Casey Anothey’s initial arrest report, for child neglect and providing false statements to the police. There is a PDF of it available on the Orlando Sentinel’s Web site.) So … it would appear that the police cleared her of any wrongdoing because she didn’t do anything wrong! It would appear that her claim of her information having been provided or stolen off the guest visit card at the apartment complex is true! It is indeed a real name, and a real woman, whose life was put in the crapper by some psychopath witch who killed her own kid! Did you read the story?

GOD HAS HER SAFE FROM ALL THE BAD STUFF THAT WENT ON THERE. WITH ALL THERE LIES, MAKES ME WONDER IF SHE WAS REALLY LOVED! ZENAIDA IS NOT GUILTY OF ANY WRONG DOING’S.
