Sources all over are reporting that Guy and Madonna may be just a few days away from saying “goodbye” forever.  A hearing has been scheduled in London’s High Court for this Friday, where it’s expected a judge will grant the warring couple a “preliminary” divorce decree.  Six weeks after that, a “decree absolute” should be granted to the couple, making their divorce final. 

British papers reported today that Guy has refused to accept any money from Madonna, even though by British law he could have sought half of her reported 445 million dollar fortune.  Guy reportedly chose to focus his efforts on making sure he was able to secure shared custody rights of the couple’s two sons, Rocco and David, instead.  The couple has reportedly reached a settlement which would allow them to share custody of the two boys, who will split their time between Madonna’s home in New York and Guy’s home in London.  Madonna’s daughter Lourdes will continue to reside with her mother. 

Madonna and Guy are said to be working as amicably and as fast as possible with one another on the terms of the divorce in an effort to avoid an embarrassing public spectacle, such as the very public drama and media coverage that plagued the Paul McCartney and Heather Mills’ divorce.
