New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez wants his original prenupital agreement with wife Cynthia enforced in their very public divorce.

According to new papers being filed today in Florida, Rodriguez, the highest-paid player in baseball with a $275 million contact, says that his marriage is “irretrievably broken,” but he requests that the infidelity accusations be removed from the court documents.

Rodriguez refutes the claims by his wife that he “emotionally abandoned” her and the couple’s children and carried on “extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct.”  He holds that such claims are “immaterial and impertinent and should be stricken.”

His soon-to-be ex, Cynthia Rodriquez, seeks to maintain her “high standard of living” through alimony and child support, and is also seeking ownership of their $12 million estate and “equitable distribution” of all assets.

Rodriguez’s filing does declare that his wife is a “loving and nurturing mother.” He doesn’t have an issue with paying “reasonable and bona fide expenses” per a co-parenting agreement for daughters Natasha, 3, and Ella, 3 months.
