Billy Joel Splits From 3rd Wife, Katie Lee
Reps for Billy Joel and his (much younger) wife Katie Lee Joel have confirmed that the couple have split! Well now, this is no surprise, is it?! Katie is gorgeous, more than 30 years younger than Billy and she seems to have used her time spent with him pretty wisely— she became a fixture on the celebrity social scene and launched a career as a celebrity chef, cookbook author and TV reporter.
The couple’s reps released a statement about the split:
“After nearly five years of marriage Billy Joel & Katie Lee Joel have decided to separate. This decision is a result of much thoughtful consideration. Billy and Katie remain caring friends with admiration and respect for each other.”
Some reports are claiming that Billy has grown jealous of Katie’s close friendship with hottie designer Yigal Azrouel (pictured here, with Katie), who she’s been seen out and about with lately. Could there be any truth to rumors of an affair between the two?
