Looks like life on Wisteria Lane may be coming to a dead end. Creator/producer of “Desperate Housewives,” Marc Cherry, announced at a meeting of the Television Critics Association that he plans to wrap the show after its seventh season (“Housewives” enters its fifth season this fall). Cherry was quoted as saying, “I love working with these gals, but the idea of letting anyone else take the show from me kind of makes me sad and sick to my stomach.” Take the show from him? What’s that about?? Could it be that ABC execs are unhappy with the direction of the show in the last few years, as many fans felt the show never lived up to its potential following its breakout first year? The show was also snubbed by the Emmy’s this year, failing to receive even one nomination.
