Great Recipe For Hanukkah: Honey-Roasted Applesauce

Ingredients
* 12 apples (Gravenstein or McIntosh)
* 2 tablespoon(s) fresh lemon juice
* 2 tablespoon(s) butter
* 1/2 teaspoon(s) sea salt
* 1/3 cup(s) honey
* 1 cinnamon stick
* Seeds of 1 fresh pomegranate
Directions
- Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Core (do not peel) the apples and cut into 1-inch pieces, and toss with lemon juice in a bowl.
- Heat the butter in a medium metal-handled skillet over medium-high heat until the butter begins to brown. Add the apples and salt. Cook until apples begin to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the honey and cinnamon.
- Transfer to oven and roast until soft, about 20 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and fork-mash for chunky sauce
or puree in a food processor. Serve garnished with pomegranate seeds.
