Is Newsweek Cover Of Sarah Palin Sexist?
Tongues are wagging over Sarah Palin’s cover of Newsweek! On the cover, Sarah is dressed in workout gear- a conservative long-sleeved fleece top… with shorts that show quite a bit of her (well-toned) legs! The photo was allegedly taken for Runner’s World Magazine, and according to Palin’s camp, was NOT meant for the cover of a serious news magazine such as Newsweek. Palin has described the cover as “sexist” and “unfortunate.”
Now I’m no fan of Palin, but I do agree that the magazine should have shown her in a more professional and serious pose. I’m not sure that a male politician would be shown on the cover of Newsweek in a wifebeater while flexing his muscles or showing off his abs.
