This weekend, Madonna marked the big 5-0! That’s right, the Material Girl is 50 years old, and is looking better than ever!  Madonna’s influence on the world is undeniable.  She’s given us a heap of great music, a couple of forgettable (but forgiveable) movies, and a million different fashion trends (you know you wore the lace gloves and fake pearl strands back in the day, lol!).  Madonna’s taken her look from virginal slut, to tough street girl, to Monroe glam, to leather-clad dominatrix, to high couture diva, and even to Mommy.  She’s dated Carlos Leon, Dennis Rodman, Warren Beatty, Michael Jackson, Jose Conseco, and JFK Jr.  She married (and divorced) Sean Penn, and gave marriage a second try with Guy Ritchie. She’s been rumored to have romanced Alex Rodriguez, Bobby Brown, Sandra Bernhard, Prince, Tupac, and Jenny Shimizu.  She’s been a blonde and she’s been a brunette.  She’s rocked Geisha hair, flowing curls, pixie cuts and even an Afro.  She gave us the cone bra (yikes!), turned underwear into outerwear,  and dared to bare it all in her controversial Sex book.  She’s created tacky trends and sported the world’s most gorgeous couture.  She made goth elegant, made Evita hip, and took pimp-wear to a new level.  At times whe was even ethereal.  And through it all, we can’t help but love her.
