McCain Vows To “Whip” Obama! Racist Rhetoric Or Friendly Trash Talk?
There are certain things you simply don’t say if you are a person with even an ounce of common sense and decency. Guess that’s what accounts for John McCain’s repeated gaffes, however, since common sense and decency don’t seem to be his strong points as of late. Today the dumbass (sorry to take it there, but I’ve really had enough of this bitter little man) predicted a win for himself in this week’s presidential debate, telling reporters that, “after I whip his you know what in this debate…,” that he would continue to campaign actively until election day.
Well, Senator, we know that where YOU come from it may be ok to conjure up fear that a man with a surname like “Obama” is secretly a terrorist, or that it may be ok to avoid looking a grown man in the eye when debating him, or that making MLK day a state and national holiday may not be important… but dude, it’s NEVER ok for you to refer to “whipping” a Black man no matter where you live or who you are. But I didn’t think in this day and age it took a rocket scientist to figure that out.
In fact, I’m not convinced that McCain wasn’t fully aware of the words he chose to use. In recent weeks we have seen him stoop to unbelievable lows to incite ridiculous levels of fear against Obama, and what McCain hasn’t said outright, many members of his audience have (shouting to “kill” Obama and cursing him at rallies). It appears as though McCain is purposely appealing to that group of Americans who may still be fond of the days when it was ok to refer to “whipping” a Black man, as racist undertones seem to have been growing at McCain rallies across the country. Guess he hasn’t seen the polls that show that most Americans DON’T like his tasteless tactics, and are tired of his nasty campaign methods.
So what do you think? Were McCain’s words innocent, or carefully chosen? I’ve got my opinion on the matter, but tell us yours!
