Michael Jackson Doesn’t Rest In Peace While Family Squabbles
The buzz about town today that Michael Jackson has not be laid to rest in peace. His brain is still with the coroners office as they wait for it to harden so that they can conduct toxicology tests but the sad part is that Jackson hasn’t found a final resting place.
It’s rumored that Jermaine and father Joseph want to bury Michael at the Neverland Ranch, to create a memorial place like Graceland is to Elvis and his family. The family and kids stand to profit from creating a star memorial destination.
Jackson’s mother, Katherine, is sad because she doesn’t want the family fighting anymore and she along with the rest of the siblings want Michael buried at Forest Lawn to honor his request to never return to Neverland after the many child molestation allegations.
While all the bickering is going on, Michael’s casket is resting in the mausoleum that Motown founder, Berry Gordy, has set aside for his family at Forest Lawn.
I have always suspected that the family would want Michael buried at the Neverland Ranch but there are permits, zoning issues, etc that have to be worked out in that area that could take some time. Wonder how quickly Elvis was able to be buried at Graceland? I imagine the process didn’t take long.
I just hope that the family doesn’t allow this to once again split them a part. This tragedy should be meant to bring them together as a united family. If not for themselves, then for Michael’s children who are really the victims here. Let’s hope that Katherine can wrangle in the her clan to get them to understand the importance of respecting the dead and not allowing the burial to become a public spectacle.
It’s rumored that Katherine and brothers are working on a documentary about their family. If this rings true, it just makes me wonder after all of these years why they would select this time to work on something like this. It was public knowledge that the Jackson 5 Reunion tour did not happen because Michael did not want to participate and he had issues with the finances surrounding the tour. Afterall, what is the Jackson 5 without Michael? After Michael’s passing, I suspect they can tour as a tribute to Michael and stand to profit from it. Maybe the Estate will allow for it as the money ultimately would benefit Michael’s children.
Let’s just send positive thoughts and prayers to the Jackson Family.
