The Terrible Season Finale Of VH1’s Real Chance Of Love

The Terrible Season Finale Of VH1’s Real Chance Of Love

Talk about such a disappointing finale! If you didn’t catch it, then SPOILER ALERT! Stop reading now and come back after you’ve caught it because I would love to hear your thoughts. The finale, which I anticipated was going to be boring anyway because the final contestants were bores, was absolutely a good SNORE.

Quite honestly, Chance and Real aren’t exactly eye candy or guys to die over. Chance has some type of S-curl with grease going on with his hair– and talk about skinny! I’d be afraid I might snap him into peices if I held him too tight. He reminds me of a barking chihuahua with his antics and do-rag.

Then there is Real. Now, he seems like a really cool dude, but he keeps his hair prettier than mine. I’d be afraid that he would hog the mirror in the bathroom and take longer to get dressed than me.

Together, they call themselves the Stallionaires. In reality, they are more like 2 of the characters from Alvin and the Chipmunks. VH1 did a great job of branding the Stallionaires during the show. I wonder if VH1 owns a piece of the merchandising? Makes you say hmmmmm…

What the hell is wrong with Chance? Now, we know he is a couple cards short of a full deck but you go on a reality show to find true love then cop out and say you’re not ready?? Um, hello! You didn’t do some soul searching before taking the check from VH1 to do the show? Isn’t the show about dating?? I’d rather he said that he just wasn’t feeling ANYONE than to say he isn’t ready. And the tears? Come on Brotha! Give me a friggin break. You are crying on television because you aren’t ready? But in all honesty, he didn’t have that much to chose from. There was Risky, a young attractive girl if she took down her ghetto-ness a notch. I found it quite gross when she talked about how Chance reminded her of her brother and questioned her attraction to him. Once she said that, we knew she wasn’t going to be in the running. Then there was Cali, the Asian girl on the show who is a celebrity make-up artist, but her own makeup looked similar to Miss Piggy. I couldn’t get over her makeup. She also needed to tone down her ghetto-ness and I am sure news will surface about her being a groupie in a video or hanging with some rapper. She just seems that type.

On Real’s side, there was Cornfed, the sweet and out of place white girl from the Midwest who seemed way too nice and out of place. I actually liked her because she seemed the most geniune and real. I am sure she is getting hate mail from white supremists. I was actually worried for her because the scene where Real took her back to his room with all the votive candles and roses made you assume they had sex. I wasn’t convinced that she would go that far from the get go so it seems that scene was forced.

Thank goodness Cornfed came out on top and won. I can’t imagine what her life would be like as a young white woman rejected by a black man on national tv.

Then there is Bay Bay Bay. This woman wore me out with her constant “do right” lecturing and attitude. Her frail frame resembled that of a boy who has not yet reached puberty so it was no wonder Real didn’t have any sexual attraction. The woman reads like a bible toting, no premarital sex, nagging type of woman. Whoever is responsible for casting her on the show should be fired.

So, no ladies, there weren’t many interesting options or much drama to make this finale worth watching. As much as they wanted to make the Chance situation full of drama, maybe they should have done his selection last and left the show open-ended? Not a smart ending to a show that will probably get a second season.

I may have to pass on the next season.
