MSN.com is reporting that Ed McMahon has been hired by Experian’s financial website, FreeCreditReport.com, to star in a series of commercials where he will poke fun at his financial troubles.  Ed is set to star in the web ads, which will air in October.  The aging TV sidekick will rap  (yes, we said RAP)about his money woes in the commericals while wearing a track suit as he is chauffeured around L.A. in a golf cart.  How pathetic.

The company reportedly decided to hire Ed after seeing him discuss his financial situation on “Larry King Live.”  Is this really what it’s come to for Ed?
