Oprah Removes Bebe Winans From Her Karoke Show

Oprah Removes Bebe Winans From Her Karoke Show

Yesterday we reported that Oprah Winfrey was permitting her friend, Bebe Winans to appear on her karoke show despite the fact that he has been accused and was arrested for domestic violence.

Oprah spoke out against domestic violence as something she simply could not tolerate and consequently, banned Chris Brown from her show. So imagine our anger when Bebe Winans, who had been appearing in her show promos, was set to appear on her show despite his arrest  right after the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident.

Oprah’s spokesman Don Halcombe announced that Bebe would be cut from the show and would only say that the decision to eliminate Winans was made this week.

We are glad Oprah listened and took action. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander! I wonder if Bebe is found guilty of dometic battery if Oprah will add him to her banned list with Chris Brown?

Maybe what Oprah REALLY SHOULD do is invite Chris Brown, BeBe Winans, and more men like that on her show to discuss their issues with domestic violence instead of banning them. That seems the more logical solution to me rather than dismissing them all together. Let’s hear their side of the story and provide them with the help they need so that other women don’t have to go through this anymore.

Just my 2 cents.

I would be so dissapointed if it turns out that the accusations are true. There are certain people you put on pedestals for whatever reason, and him being a gospel singer I just never thought he’d be in this position…. but I’m glad people now see that really anyone can be an abuser and anyone can be a victim. And I do think it would be a good idea for people to hear from the abusers themselves so we can get a better picture of what they are thinking and what makes them become this way. My father was an abuser. And to this day I’ve never received any type of insight as to what made him this way. I have my own thoughts on what could have happened but I’ve never heard anything from his mouth and I hope one day to get those answers.
