Whatchutalkinbout? Did Gary Coleman Really Run Over Fan?!
Entertainment Tonight is reporting that pint-sized former child star Gary Coleman was involved in a car accident this weekend in Utah, resulting in injury to a pedestrian. Reports say that Gary was backing out of his parking space at a bowling alley parking lot, when his car allegedly hit another vehicle and a pedestrian. However, the plot gets a little juicier based on witness reports that Gary, 40, and the injured pedestrian, Colt Reston, 24, had exchanged angry words inside the bowling alley after Reston snapped photos of Gary, angering the tiny “Diff’rent Strokes” star. The conflict somehow spilled out into the parking lot, and as Gary attempted to leave the venue in his truck (you can insert your own joke here), Reston was somehow struck. Reston was later taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Police at the scene were unable to determine if Coleman hit Reston on purpose, and say that neither party was cooperative at the scene. Further, an officer at the scene told reporters that there were “indications” that alcohol may have been involved.
By now, we should all know that Gary hates photos and autograph-seekers, and will go ballistic on you for even asking– so what was this Reston guy possibly thinking?! Who doesn’t know by now that Gary is a very, very angry person?! Though we don’t know all the circumstances of this particular event, we do know that this is not the first time he has gone off on a fan. I know you all remember when Gary punched that woman who asked for his autograph and had to go to court back in 1999. This is a bitter former child-star, and not the kind who seems to appreciate the fact that many of us grew up watching him on TV and loving his portrayal of poor-orphan-turned-rich-kid, Arnold Jackson, on “Diff’rent Strokes.”
Approaching Gary is like going to the petting zoo. Some of the animals may appear cute and cuddly, but you should always approach with caution because sometimes the smallest ones are the most vicious and will attack!
