Why Was Heidi Pratt Hospitalized Over The Weekend? Was She Tortured By NBC?!
Despite rumors that newlywed reality addict Heidi Pratt ended up in a Costa Rican hospital over the weekend as a result of being tortured by the producers of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, both NBC and Heidi’s reps are denying any accusations of “torture.”
In a statement released by the couple’s rep, rumors of torture were vehemently denied. Their rep said,”There have been many reports that surfaced over the weekend regarding Spencer and Heidi Pratt. Many of these reports are false and inaccurate, including any reports of ‘torture’ on the show.” The rep went on to say that Heidi was taken to a hospital on Saturday “because she was not feeling well. She has been released…and is doing well.”
What everyone does agree upon is that Heidi and her husband Spencer were “sentenced” to an overnight stay (14 hours) in an unlit wooden shack known as “The Lost Chamber” in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle in order to earn their way back onto the show after a number of attention-seeking threats to leave the show.
So just how did all the rumors of torture get started in the first place? Well look no further than Spencer’s equally attention-starved little sister, Stephanie Pratt, who first twittered about Heidi’s alleged torture-induced hospitalization on Saturday. She wrote: “Rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water. Pls pray she will be ok.”

Though we’re not sure exactly where Stephanie got her information from, she spoke to E! over the weekend about what allegedly went down. Stephanie told E! reporters, “They [show producers] kept them locked up and through the roof they were dropping spiders the size of [Heidi's] hands in on her in the black…They treated them like they were criminals or terrorists.”
Stephanie also claimed, ”She was throwing up 30 times with nothing in her stomach. She was really sick. She thought she was dying….I know they pulled such shitty antics. But being treated like criminals or terrorists? It’s insane!”
Hmmm, not sure that Speidi’s treatment was insane, but I do know what, or WHO, is! Stay tuned for more drama in the jungle!
