Will Smith’s 10 Year Old Son To Star in ‘Karate Kid’ Remake
Jaden Smith, the 10 year old son of megastar Will Smith and his wife Jada, is set to star in the remake of ‘The Karate Kid.’ The movie franchise, which made 80’s star Ralph Macchio a star and later launched the career of Hillary Swank, featured a storyline about a social outcast who learns to deal with bullies through martial arts training.
Clearly, the new remake will be geared toward younger audiences since Jaden isn’t even in his teens yet. The 10 year old, who has already starred in “The Pursuit of Happyness” with his dad, stars in the remake of ”The Day The Earth Stood Still” next. He is also a martial arts student, making him a great fit for the karate movies. Congratulations, Jaden, it looks like your acting career is well on it’s way!
