Have you heard the one about the groom who interrupted his WEDDING VOWS in order to update his Twitter and Facebook accounts?  Yep, it’s true.  Here are all the tacky details, as reported by the Post Chronicle:

A groom has created a storm after he interrupted his wedding last month to update his Facebook and Twitter accounts  from the altar.

Dana Hanna, who works for a pet website, also posted a short video of the ceremony on the Internet. It showed him reaching into his pocket for his phone as the minister was about to pronounce the couple husband and wife.

The video has had more than 350,000 views.

“Oh, Dana is updating his relationship status on Facebook,” the minister said as the audience at the wedding laughed.

After Hanna finished twittering he continued the ceremony.

“As I was saying, I now pronounce you husband and wife. It’s now official on Facebook. It’s official in my book. Dana you may kiss your bride.”

So what did the attention-seeking groom Tweet?  He wrote,  ”Standing at the altar with @TracyPage where just a second ago, she became my wife! Gotta go, time to kiss my bride. #weddingday 1:48 PM Nov 21st from Twittelator.”

But even though his video post has gained lots of attention, not all of it has been positive.  To those who don’t approve of what the groom did, he says, “To all the criticizers of my video out there questioning my sanity: You don’t get it. I was having fun at MY wedding! Loosen up, have fun!”

And what does his new wife think of the interrupted ceremony?  The Post Chronicle also states that his new bride has taken to tweeting about the incident, writing, “Can’t sleep, very anxious about this new fame. What will become of it?”
